Farm Kid
I've been reminding LN for awhile that Johnny her 1st show steer was headed to butcher today.
Her responses were "he'll taste good" & "1less chore".
Gotta love a farm kid who understands cycle and gets it.
Steer is loaded and headed out.
Now lets see if she's as happy when her last hog and wether lamb go Friday!

I hope that my DD "gets it" when she gets older. Although I don't think she'll have too much of a problem. She occasionally says "yum" when we go out to feed the chickens.
ReplyDeleteI just keep reinforcing the concept to LN at dinner and at birthing time when they are cute and she wants to keep all of them!
