Anticipation

LN and I are driving to Madison, Wisconsin tomorrow afternoon into Thursday . She's showing in the All American Sheep Show over the weekend.

I am hoping for cooler weather and no humidity. It's been in 90's with 65+% humidity and I'm done.

We are slowly gathering college supplies, setting up bank accounts, and generally sloughing through college requests. Dang I wish it were as easy as TV makes it on students.

Poof I wanna go to college so I am there by the next day!!!

Life isn't TV I'm thinking...

No Rest ...

For hardworking parents...

Z came home from work not feeling well. It didn't matter to Miss A. She wanted her daddy after being with Grandma all day. The injustice of it all. He had his workpen in his mouth and she was on a mission.

This happened after her nap . Note the leg casually propped on the rail. It stayed there all 2 1/2 hours.

The graduate is not coming down off her high anytime soon. She's wearing linen shorts she made.

Don't mind the dirty porch. Road dust covers it daily.

Grad-u-ma-cated

Miss LN graduated this morning.
The keynote speaker was Governor Carney.
LN has met him several times through 4-H events.
Still an impressive visitor.

LN hugging the principal.
She been so nice writing great recommendation letters.
She's a former 4-H member and is now a 4-H leader.

The Governor doing pushups to impress a few football players.
They challenged him in the fall and he turned them down.
Today he made good...

A WWII veteran who missed his graduation because he was flying overseas to join the war
was given his diploma today.
He's 94 yrs old.
So impressive and tear-jerking...
Two students who passed away were given diplomas posthumously as well.
So sad but so poignant.

Z came, actually smiled and hugged his sister.
A rare treat!
R was left out so...

She jumped in and his girlfriend R2 piled in on the other side.
It's a Z pileon!

All three of my children in one place and happy.
I love them.

Me and LN losing it trying to take a decent picture.
I dressed for sunny and 80*.
It was never above 75*, cloudy and windy.
Felt good to women of a certain age ;}

My pretty graduate.
On to bigger and better things.

Perservence

It pays to persevere.
LN had senior night last night.

This chick of mine was rewarded for her hours of scholarship application writings
 and years of college prep.
I am a proud Mama.
