Always that one

Always has to be that one that climbs right into the middle of the trough.
Actually there is two that take turns.

Busy busy....
Headed to fried oyster/chicken salad dinner so LN can receive a rate of gain award for her hog from this past year. It is a beast of a meal at a fire hall near us. It's a tough job but I'll try to do it justice.

Still have cough flu cold crud.

Still taking classes on taxes.

Starting to do grunt work for CPA I know small hours but helps get me gone from home stress to more stress. Lol

More later... I hope...

3 things and stuff

There are 3 things consuming me at the moment.
(Well actually 20 plus things but I sorted through them.)

#1. This is my view a couple days/nights each week.
The tax course is a lot of paperwork and textbooks and folders and forms, etc.
Although I've completed many forms for myself and kids over the years I am learning small thing
about federals.
This is basic course so they aren't covering what I wanted of course.
They want you to work for them so advanced course is only for employees after a few years.
State forms can kiss my behind especially PA.
DE is easy and MD tolerable but PA, seriously complicated.

#2 College search information. Scholarship information also.
The hunt is on even not having concrete course of study from LN.
A friend who lives this is helping thank heavens.
Spread sheets, emails, research and lots of questions are being weeded through.

#3 Personal Issues
I'll leave it alone because I sound silly with my issues when others are so
much worse off.
I got myself into this so I have to get myself out of it.
But not till after other things are conquered.

Other stuffings!

The garden is weedy but no time to work on it.

A cow went on auction trailer today.
I'm sad, she was my favorite but fell last winter and never fully recovered.
No successful breeding in 2 years so she goes.
Winter would have been hard on her pinched back end.

LN's jeep has to be gotten rid of.
Serious frame issues were doctored up well by previous owner.
My mechanic found it when he was looking for something else.
I wasn't told and previous owner doesn't care if LN was hurt.
We're trying to sell it through car auction.
If not I'll private sell it but morally I struggle with this choice.
Would you?
Sell without disclosing issues?
It was done to me but .....

Not a Joke

Just went to rinse plate off after supper. When I turned water on the spray nozzle shot water all over me and the floor covering half of the kitchen floor.
Nope no rubber band in sight.
This was not a joke.
The nozzle must have had a lil bit of something blocking the shut off.
Someone used it before me and said " yea it got me too". Said person didn't bother to tell anyone else till I bellowed with rage nor did they wipe up the floor from their showering.
Grrrrrrrr

Yesterday's gorgeous sunset. This picture doesn't begin to show how cool it was. Within 10 min the clouds were covering up whole area into a flat sky. LN and I were driving home from some not good for us but def wanted it Taco Bell/KFC drive thru for our Saturday night supper fun. We are some hard core partiers. I do love me some original recipe and she loves tacos. We watched several old (as in 1977-1990) movies before bedtime. LN seems to enjoy those more than the modern crap which tickles me to death.
I start a income tax course in the morning. The lady who does our business taxes needs help. I'm taking the class to qualify and learn. We'll see how I do sitting inside for longer time periods. I don't expect I'll enjoy it but it pays. Sometimes that matters more.
Listen closely.... Hear that?
Silence of the air conditioners!
It is cool enough I shut those energy sucking loud a** noise boxes off and opened the windows.
I hope the 90's and humidity are crawling back in their holes for another year. Probably not but a girl can dream.

Corny road

On to freezer corn....

Went to get a load of waste corn for cows. Love my curly mess of hair? Sweaty humid hair?

I love the farm roads even with the dust.

There are 2 tractors with corn wagons in that dust cloud.

I picked through one side of my wagon and pulled 160 ears out for suppers; son, neighbor and us. The rest will get shucked, cut off, blanched and froze. I'm going to freeze smaller amounts since it's just 3 of us. A full quart bag is too much. It may seem a waste of freezer bags but better that than wasting corn after all the work involved. Maybe I'll do some full for soups and stews and casseroles. Hmmm...
