Dreary day

It's a dreary Monday . Drizzling, chilly overcast let's eat hot soup kinda day.

Perfect day for this question...

Do you think about your actions with others?
Is there anything in your past life you did or said that you work on changing in the present so you don't repeat it?
Are you willing to admit to wrong things you have committed?

A little deep for a dreary Monday huh?

I think about things I did in high school, in my 20's or even presently that I'd like to change and /or never repeat.
I'm trying to be a better person by admitting even if it's just to myself what I need to change.
Admit and then start changing.

I think I've come to the realization that not everyone can look at the mirror image of themselves and actually see it.
Maybe I'm rare but I don't think so.
I have more faith in humans.
Maybe not in the choices I've made in the people I've chosen to be involved with or the actions as a result.
It's not all them, it's me.
It's another hard thing that I've had to admit too.

Geeze what a depressing post for a Monday .
Off to look for rainbows, unicorns and puppies. ;)

  1. Who the heck doesn't feel that way?? Some of us may go overboard in one direction or the other . . . like blaming all that is wrong with our world on others, and almost as bad, blaming ourselves for not being "good" enough and being at fault for all our woes.

But I do think most of us (like you and me, babe) are always searching for ways to improve ourselves and our circumstances. They say defining the "problem" is 50% of the solution, but dang, that other 50%, which is making the change to eliminate the problem, is the toughie.

Something I've come to realize is that I can't (cannot!) change anyone else. I'm the only person I can change and I have to take full responsibility for that.

I don't think your post was depressing or dreary for a Monday. Kudos to you for doing what seems to me to be intelligent thinking. (But that darn ol' thinkin' hurts sometimes, doesn't it? ;o])

  2. Not a depressing post at all, and more like a day to reflect on actions. It's raining here too.

  3. Soul searching is good for you. Every once in a while. Those thoughts bubble through my mind on a fairly regular basis - but I have pretty much come to good terms with who I am now. I find it a waste of precious time to regret. Must be the rain.
