It's always a surprise whenever you crack open a double yolker, isn't it? Our chickens are molting (plus most of them are o-l-d) and we are getting zero eggs a day. :o( Our plan for hatching out new chicks this past spring turned out to be a plethora of . . . ducklings!
I hear duck eggs are delicious but i prefer my chicken eggs. I am lucky to live in a rural area with lots of neighbors/places to buy eggs from if i run out MamaPea.
Yay, the only time I have had a double yolk, was from first timers. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that hen will continue to gift doubles Kristina.

DeleteThe eggs look delicious ! Years ago my parents had a hen that would hatch a double yolk egg every once in a while. Take care and stay safe!!!
