After 6 months...

 


After 6 months the hens are finally making themselves useful.
I have never had a double yoker from a first timer either.
Its the little things in life...

  2. It's always a surprise whenever you crack open a double yolker, isn't it? Our chickens are molting (plus most of them are o-l-d) and we are getting zero eggs a day. :o( Our plan for hatching out new chicks this past spring turned out to be a plethora of . . . ducklings!

    1. I hear duck eggs are delicious but i prefer my chicken eggs. I am lucky to live in a rural area with lots of neighbors/places to buy eggs from if i run out MamaPea.

  3. The eggs look delicious ! Years ago my parents had a hen that would hatch a double yolk egg every once in a while. Take care and stay safe!!!

    Trust me it’s all gonna work out there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it’s not a train it’s probably sheep.
