Still here, hanging on, working 3 jobs...
Plus Grandma-ing several times a week before dawn while parents head to work.
I get the nuggets up, dressed, fed and delivered for school bus and babysitter.
Life is a challenge but I am up for it.
A difficult lambing season is over.
Lost two ewes with their lambs still inside which was heartbreaking but couldn't be helped.
What is on the ground is growing and fingers crossed for a profitable Easter market coming up.
Lots of work to do when tax season is over.
Still waiting on surveyor stakes to mark boundaries.
Then fences and more fences will proceed.
I am up for a different job at work as a Administrative Officer which is fancy speak for Financial Officer.
It's a small pay raise but more importantly it is no supervision of others.
I was raised to work so when I have others working to appear to work I am not a good boss.
I find my bullsh*t meter has dramatically diminished as I have aged.
I was just thinking about you this morning when I was in my quilt room trying to be quiet while hubby caught a few extra winks! You're working three jobs right now?? What? You can't find a fourth one? Hoping you get the promotion you're up for. I know you're a fantastic employee and hope your employers realize it! So sorry to hear about the difficult and heartbreaking lambing season. To lose the lamb(s) AND the mamas. Tough. I'm becoming totally convinced that there is no common sense left in most people. What happened to having the dignity to do a conscientious job and work hard to get what you want? Heck, most people don't even know how to cook these days. What's going to happen when hard times really arrive (and they are coming) and so many people have to idea how to take basic care of themselves? Sorry, soap box going back under bed now. ReplyDeleteLOL I actually did have a 4th job that ended when the business was sold. It was only a few hours a week. People now days do not understand how to be frugal and survive hard times. It is scary. All the "I have to's" that are not a necessity which are not. Sorry my soap box is out too.
DeleteSo sorry to hear about lambing season. We once sold a doe to a first time goat raiser, and she later bred her and died due to birthing complications. We felt so bad for her.
